Die ASCO Aktiv-Trockeneissäge – AAS zersägt die Trockeneisblöcke bis zu einer Dicke von 70 mm in zwei bzw. drei Teile. Je nach Bedarf kann die Aktiv-Trockeneissäge in wenigen Minuten auf die optionalen doppelten Sägeblätter umgerüstet werden. Somit lassen sich auch kleinere, nicht standardmässige, qualitativ hochwertige Blockgrössen produzieren. Während der gewohnte Produktionszyklus unverändert bleibt, verdoppelt bzw. verdreifacht sich der Block-Output. Die Blockqualität bleibt dabei unverändert hoch und es wird keine zusätzliche Zeit benötigt. Bei einer Leistung von bis zu 600 Scheiben pro Stunde eignet sie sich dazu, im Verbund mit mehreren Trockeneisproduktionsmaschinen betrieben zu werden. Trockeneisproduzenten können dadurch ihre Produktionskapazität signifikant erhöhen.

The ASCO Active Dry Ice Saw - AAS cuts dry ice blocks up to a thickness of 70 mm into two or three pieces. Depending on the requirements, the active dry ice saw can be converted to the optional double saw blades in just a few minutes. This means that smaller, non-standard, high-quality block sizes can also be produced. While the usual production cycle remains unchanged, the block output doubles or triples. The block quality remains unchanged at a high level and no additional time is required. With a capacity of up to 600 slices per hour, it is suitable to be operated in conjunction with several dry ice production machines. Dry ice producers can thus significantly increase their production capacity.

Die beiden Trockeneisstrahlgeräte ASCOJET 1701 werden zum Entfernen von Formschlichten und Metallresten verwendet. „Aufgrund seiner Robustheit und seiner Leistung ist im Auswahlverfahren das ASCO-Testgerät aus jenen der anderen Hersteller herausgestochen. Deshalb hat sich die KSM Castings Group Anfang 2021 dazu entschlossen, die ASCO Trockeneisstrahltechnologie zum Standard im Werk Hildesheim zu machen“ sagt Herr Joachim Wikinger, Instandhaltung Kokillenguss, von KSM in Hildesheim. Teilbereiche der Formen werden mehrmals täglich abgestrahlt und eine Grundreinigung der Formen, was eine komplette Abstrahlung bedeutet, wird ein- bis zweimal wöchentlich oder je nach Bedarf durchgeführt. In der KSM Castings Group hat man früher die Formen mit Sand abgestrahlt, was zu einer verkürzten Lebensdauer der Form geführt hatte. Deswegen wird nun in allen Kokillenguss-Werken der KSM Castings Group mit Trockeneis gestrahlt.

The compact and powerful machine has two independent hydraulic units and pellet ejectors. This allows either to produce two identical or different pellet sizes simultaneously. The ASCO P55i reaches a production capacity of 550 kg/h and belongs to the latest i-Series generation.

The automatic "ASCO Dry Ice Machine BP425i" produces 10 different slice thicknesses and 2 different pellet sizes at the touch of a button. From now on dry ice blocks of up to 5 kg / 11 lb can be produced (dimensions in mm: 210 x 125 x 125 / 8.3 x 4.9 x 4.9 in). ASCO decided to expand its dry ice technology due to the increased market demand for larger dry ice blocks. All tools and extruder plates for the production of the different dry ice slices/blocks as well as for the optionally available dry ice pellets (up to 2 sizes, optionally 3, 6, 10 or 16 mm / 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 or 5/8 ") are integrated in the machine and can be controlled automatically via touch screen.
